Carved wooden angel with Calla lilies, authentic 1950s Mexican folk art handmade by Nahua artisans in Guerrero. This style is popularly known as "chubby-cheeked angels" due to their prominent cheekbones. Its design blends Spanish colonial heritage with Mexican indigenous folklore. Because they are made in highly remote, hard-to-travel mountainous regions, authentic Cachetones are becoming more rare.

This piece is sourced from Bazar de Lalo, our flagship partner in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
