Is everything on your website in stock?

All items are available pending an inventory check. We will put a hold on your card until the item is confirmed in stock. Once the item is confirmed available, we will run your card and ship within 48 hours.

Mercado Mexicano lists items that are for sale, right now, at our partner shops in Mexico. While we do our best to update inventory, there is always a chance your item will sell, so if you like something, don't wait!

So there’s a chance my item may not be available?

Yes, while we try to keep our stock as accurate as possible, some items may sell before we can update our inventory. 

Is my item insured in transit?

Yes, your shipment is entirely covered by Mercado Mexicano and DHL. For any claims you must submit photos of the package and the item within 24 hours of receiving your item. If your package arrives damaged, please take photos and contact us immediately for instructions. 

What about customs?

Customs forms and fees are included in your shipping costs. Mercado Mexicano completes all forms and manages your shipment from Mexico to your doorstep. We rarely have any delays at customs, if your product is delayed we will provide timely updates until your package arrives.

What is the return policy?

When you place an order, your payment is authorized and held while we confirm availability with the shop — a window of up to 24 hours, though often much faster. During this time, you may cancel your order for a full refund, no questions asked.
Once availability is confirmed and your payment is captured, the item is immediately arranged for pickup and shipment. At that point all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds.

If your item arrives damaged, please photograph both the packaging and the item within 24 hours of receipt and contact us at orders@mercadomexicano.art. We will handle the claim on your behalf.
